Alright. We started this “Downspout of the Week” thing a few weeks ago, but didn’t keep up with the whole “weekly” aspect of it. I’m sorry! Please forgive me! I’ll make it up to you with today’s downspout!
This is a downspout on the beautiful Arts and Industries Building in Washington D.C. We were there briefly last summer. The building was closed for renovations so we weren’t allowed to go in, but couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take some pictures of the building’s exterior. The Arts and Industries Building opened in 1881 just in time to host the inaugural ball for President James Garfield and was also the original home of the National Museum.
